Steve was unable to visit at the weekend which is the only time we were at our new holiday home but he asked his mate Glen. He arrived on time and had no problems explaining what he would need to do. He gave us a price that we were happy with so we trusted the feedback from my builder and paid upfront. As we live 200 miles away we have to build up a network of tradespeople. Glen has kept us up to date with what has been done and we are happy with the work and progress.

I received an Invoice from 5 Star for gas and plumbing work carried out for me. On several occasions, I politely requested clarification of how they arrived at the Invoice total. This request was ignored. However, I was informed this matter would be handed over to Debt Collectors. Therefore, I had the work independently costed. Fortunately, I had access to legal advice regarding Trading Standards, Consumer Rights and relevant authorities. I then received a revised Invoice and the bill was settled. My advice, have everything in writing regarding labour rates and material mark-up cost for work not included in a quotation
