An experienced installer of fire regs compliant construction, he put my mind at rest throughout and helped be navigate the complexity of this process. He was tidy and kind and as a result of his expertise & craftsmanship, I’m pleased to say that the Building Control inspector passed the works. A great result! I’d highly recommend James.

Pete from Kirkwood Carpentry came highly recommended and he did not disappoint! He was efficient, courteous, extremely neat and meticulous in his workmanship. He used a painting machine to paint the inside of the property and left a great finish on the walls. He also built our large deck, laid flooring, installed built in cupboards and drawers as well as other bespoke cabinets all which were finished to a very high standard. I will definitely be using his services again and would recommend him to anyone.

I had a very disappointing experience with this contractor. The flooring job I hired him for was never completed — more than half of the work was left undone. I paid him in full because I trusted him to finish the job as promised. I also purchased enough flooring materials to complete the project, but they were mismanaged and ended up not being enough. I ordered additional flooring, which arrived in September, and asked him to come back to finish the job. He said he would return in October, but after following up, he delayed again and said he wouldn’t be available until December or January. At that point, I asked for a refund so I could hire someone else to complete the flooring, but he refused, saying he understood how I felt but wouldn’t return the money and would only do the work when he “got the chance.” I’m extremely disappointed — I paid a large amount of money for a service that was never completed, and I’ve been left with an unfinished floor and unnecessary stress.

You have be someone special to earn a five star review from me, and Adam has earnt every single one of them. He is very reliable and personable, and his work is of the highest quality. After being let down by someone else, I had a very tight timetable for the kitchen refit, and Adam was willing to put in the hours to finish the job on schedule. The whole job included stripping out all of the existing kitchen; blocking up an existing internal doorway and creating a new one; re-plastering where necessary; arranging for an electrician to sort out the electrics; alterations to the plumbing; installing a complete new kitchen; and redecoration to complete the job. I would be more than happy to employ Adam again, and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.
