Latest review:Bathroom Fitting-Worked: 11/09 - 12/09 Installing Loo and sink £270 agreed quote, but charged £529.50 Ben Smith was hired to installed a sink with hot water, as well as, placing a toilet. He came and assessed the work and agreed to complete the job in 3hours and agreed to charge £270. After connecting everything, he asked for nearly a double amount which was £529.50p. When I brought it to his attention about the previous agreement, he gave me 2 options; either I agree to pay or he would reap off all the work he has done. He became quite aggressive in his manner and behaviour. When asked for a brief report of what he has done, he refused to do so and said that we are wasting his time. I did tell him that I would report this to mybuilder site, he said "I don't care as I have lots of jobs waiting for me." I wondered how someone like this could be going to people's houses to work when he has such a reputation. Myself and my wife we work in NHS, we would request that these sorts of builders don't go to vulnerable people houses. Anyway, I had no option than paying him the amount through a bank transfer. I also got him to sign a receipt book as a way of proof. I would like to give a feedback to Ben Smith so that people are aware about his negative attitudes. After he left my property, work was still due to be completed and came after 2 days after chasing him so many times. I had to get another plumber to complete his uncompleted work. A scammer, unreliable untrustworthy and unprofessional .

We had some very old ridge and lead flashing around a chimney which desperately needed a repair/replace and we certainly couldn’t have chosen better roofers. 1. Spot on punctual - even started the job a day earlier and finished a day earlier 2. Job is done to the highest quality and attention to detail is top. Everything was just spot on. It gave this old roof a brand new look. 3. Went the extra mile for us and replaced some old broken tiles without charging us extra 4. Pricing was very fair 5. The site was left cleaner than it was before they commenced the job In summary I’d recommend Sam to any friend. Have dealt with a lot of people in the trade lately and I can 100% confirm that there are very very few people left to do their job as good as Sam did.
