Plumbing Question

Push button toilet cistern slow to fill

It has only recently started but it seems my cistern is taking and age to fill, it is push button. I have removed the lid and its seems the water is coming through but like a puncture in a hose if this makes any sense which means it is taking ages to fill up.

Any help or advise would be appreciated.

Hi, common problem... there could be a build up of scale in the cistern ball valve itself which is slowing down the flow or possibly stiffend up the valve so as the float lowers down to allow the water to refill the cistern its not releasing fully. Ideally replace the ball valve, these are avaliable widely for as little as £2.82.

Same as above really sounds like a split diaphragm on the inlet or its going to have a build up of gunk inside the valve. They can also get suck if it's a bad installation.
