Plumbing Question

Work experience wanted in crewe area

I have passed my level 2 city & guilds plumbing and am going back college to study my level 3 in september . i have driving licence and car and have a few plumbing tools. willing to work for free to gain experience and help out in anyway i can with a local plumber.
willing to travel
I have helped a plumber in the past fit all new radiators and combi boiler and also helped to flush a central heating system.
If any can help me out in anyway i would be greatful.

thanks :)

Hi Bud, I'm Stoke based and I can't help you out with work because I don't just cover plumbing, and because I haven't got employers liability to cover you.

I know you want experience and if I can throw you anything i'll let you know but you'll have to cover yourself with some form of public liability and i'll give advice where you need but it's not a promise.

Don't work for free though, you'll just end being a dogsbody. I don't know who you've applied to for work so if I can give advice I would say broaden your search to kitchen and bathroom fitters and gas installers (some do plumbing). Stoke has a lot of firms if you're willing to travel that far, housing associations and councils are another option.

Good luck with your level 3 though its a good course. All the best to you.
