Tiling Question

Tiling wooden kitchen worktops

I have teak/mahogany wooden worktops that are always being ruined by my tenants - I'd like to tile them with small quarry tiles but the tops have curved edges - how easy would this be for a skilled tiler and what edging should be used?

The worktops would need minimum of 15mm ply screwed onto the worktops, or 6 mm hardibacker board, once thats done you can tile them. Once tiled get a carpenter to fit 90 degree angled edging bead to give you a straight finish. Its a easy job as long as the preperation is done correctly.
