Gas Work

Moving gas meter

I have arranged for my gas supplier to move the meter from inside to an external wall at the point which the gas feed previously entered the house. This involves reducing the gas feed pipe by approx 3m. However while the gas supply is now 3m closer to the source, it is now approx 3m from the boiler.

Are there any building regs etc that states what the maximum distance copper pipe can be run between the boiler and the meter?

I have run a gas pipe over 30 meters and that was fine. Are you looking to go double.

All you need is a gas engineer & pipe sizing calculation, then the distance dose not matter.
