Fuse box supplied for free?

as a pensioner, can i get an upgraded fusebox supplied and fitted for free?

I would not have thought so? Although depending on your income and/or savings your local council may offer some form of grant? but even if they do I would imagine that it would be means tested and you would have to fill in a lot of paperwork. You could also try calling the charities like help the aged, etc to see if they offer such schemes, but in all honesty I think this is something you will have to pay for if you want your existing fusebox upgraded.

Due to the costs involved, i could not imagine any of the electricians or companies offering to do the work for you for free, as its hard enough to find paid work as it is and we have taxes and bills to pay like everyone else.
