Central Heating Question

Recommendations for heating a single room?

My 6 month old son's room is the coldest room in the house. It has a small radiator which works well, but the room cools quickly once the CH is off. Have looked into improving insulation but doesnt appear to be practical.

We're now looking at options for keeping it warm through the night. Obviously, one option is to keep the CH on, but this seems a waste to warm the entire house.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the most economical way of heating a single room at a consistent temperature? Are these standalone electric radiators any good?

if you have an old property where by you have no cavity between the inner and outer skin of brickwork you could have all the external walls dry lined with insulated plaster boards which will help to contain warmth in the room.you can buy electric radiators with a built in thermostat leave it on all the time at a set temperature.
