Tiling Question

Tiling on yorkstone flags?

I have ripped up the old tiling in my kitchen and found yorkstone flags. Can i tile back onto these flags?
Should they be sealed?
Or should i screed it?
Do i need damp proof membrane?
Thanks for any help

The minimum treatment I would give this floor is a damp membrane and minimum 50mm screed and let it dry fully.

If you had tiles on these before and you never had any problems with damp then i am sure you can re-tile over the top, i would suggest sealing with a SBR/PVA bond 1st and also use a powder based single part flexible adhesive to make sure it sticks, regards sean
