Fixing a hole through cavity wall brick

I have a hole in my cavity party wall, an electrician has unfortunately damaged it so I have a hole through the brick into the cavity. How can I repair this? I was told I could use sand and cement

Yes a, 4 part sand and 1 part cement ratio mix would do the job or you could buy ready mixed mortar. Make sure to clean out any loose brick/block before you fill it.

Yes sand and cement is perfect for this job I would recommend packing wall cavity with some expanding foam so the motor does not fall in
