Spotlight to pendant light

Anonymous user 14 March 2024 - 2.36 PM

Hi there, I have spotlights in my kitchen but would like to change one for a pendant hanging light. Is this possible, and if so, is it an easy task or a lot of work? Thanks

Hi Charlotte, it would be an easy enough job tp just replace to a pendant, it would only turn into a bigger job if you wanted the pendant to switch on seperatly to the rest of the spots Thankyou

Hi Charlotte It’s not a big job but bit tricky you can’t do it by your self you need a skilled person to it for you once you remove the spotlight there will be the hole you need to patch that hole 1st then put ceiling rose ( hanging light) if you didn’t patch the hole the cealing rose won’t cover that hole and can’t be screwed to the ceiling I hop this information help you

Hello If the pendant base is bigger than the spotlight then no patching needed. If you wanted it switching separately you would go from the switch and either need access under the floor above or you’ll need to chop out from below but this way is a bit messier.
