Bathroom Fitting

Shower spotlight fitting.

Anonymous user 16 March 2024 - 2.51 PM

I have a new build (out of 2 year warranty), the spot light over the ensuite shower blew, and it was sealed in place, so I had to cut it free. Looks like it was a builder's special and the hole was slightly too large and the gap was covered with sealant, without the sealant we're now getting a draught. I'm wondering what's the best/most economical way to fix this? I've seen bezels that might work, but wondering if there's other options, or if someone can suggest the best way to fit/secure the bezel.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If you're looking for a cheap fix, one way I would suggest is to cut out a clean square out the ceiling around the hole and insure a clean cut path. Then YouTube "how to plaster board patch" then re-cut the correct size hole for the light, either using a hole saw, Key saw, or Stanley knife. I hope this helps you

Measure the hole then buy a new light fitting which covers the hole.
