Gaps at gable end

Our roof has gaps at the edge on the gable ends where the tiles seem to sit on each other but there are gaps up to an inch big in places between the tile and the wood they are sat on. We noticed last year we had birds nesting going in through these gaps and now this year we have wasps! Once we get ourselves wildlife free, what should we do?

Best options are to have the verge (gable end) rebedded or have a dry verge system (plastic gable)

I’d recommend a a dry verge fitted or have them mortared up

I would advise to have dry verge , plastics put on each tiles on the table end
