Replacing an old thermostat

I have a microtherm efk thermostat for radiant ceiling heating, it's quite old and needs replacing - can this be replaced with a different type of thermostat e.g. with a timer on it or does radiant heating need specific ones? i also don't want lots of additional work needed to make it look presentable if a new one was a different size.

It maybe possible. If its a three wire type that has a neutral you will need to rpeplace it with a three wire type. If its just a two wire type then most thermostats should be compatible.
