Roofing

Single stop small flat roof to a sloping roof.

Anonymous user 16 March 2024 - 2.51 PM

Hi All, I am looking to change extension flat roof to a slope roof and I have a couple of questions please. Online I can only find out about pitched roofs. The dining room extends from the dormer bungalow with a flat roof, about 2.6m width and 1.5m length. We want to change this to a slope roof, continue the roof from the dormer window to the end it can be a shallow slope with timer frame and cladding on the outside, like our dormers. 1:- Is it possible? 2:- Would we need planning permission? 3:- Can a skylight be fitted? 4:-Would this be expensive? Many Thanks!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Impossible to answer without seeing the job... but also yes could be expensive depending on what you deemed as expensive.

Hi there yes it can be done and it could be expensive as would need joiners etc to build frame and don’t think you would need planing permission . Thanks Bradley Erskine roofing

I would think it would just be building regulations

Of course, it's possible. It doesn't have to be expensive but will need building regs
