I removed plaster off a brick wall in my bedroom and I would like to keep it exposed, is there anything that I need to do for the wall e.g sealing? What would be the best trades person If was going to get someone in to clean up/fix any issues with the wall

Just clean of all the excess plaster and leave it,it will be fine Maybe fill some of the brickwork joints with mortar if it needs it otherwise it will be fine

If you are getting in someone to do the work it would be a bricklayer. If you are doing the job yourself there are several products available and if you go to a builders merchants they will advise you on the preferred one. alternatively you can use a watered down mix of P.V.A. at a ratio of 6 parts water to one part P.V.A giving 2-3 coats depending on how it is absorbed.

A coat or two of pva will stop continuous dust but it will give it a bit of a glossy finishing depends what you want and I’d probably get a bricklayer just in case it needs the pointing tidying up

Make sure it’s all cleaned off and any empty joint fill in with cement
