Smalls jobs including moving one and installing two radiators and a leak under bathroom floor

Anonymous user 23 February 2024 - 3.51 PM

I am renovating my first home and two upstairs rooms have no central heating. I hope to move a very small radiator from the bathroom into the office and replaced with a new towel radiator. I also need a standard-size radiator installed in the spare bedroom. I recently had a full electrical rewire and a leak was found under the bathroom floor, relating to the waste pipe from the shower. The pipe will need repairing or replacing. As it's a few small jobs, I'm happy to space out the work to fit around you if needed, but the leak in the bathroom is a priority.

Hi sounds like you have had a bit of a hard time!? 🤣 as you have stated there is a radiator plumbed into the upstairs already. Installing radiators into 2 other rooms shouldn't be a issue just requires plumbing into other rooms required and installing radiators as required. Also regarding the waste from the shower we don't advise repairing it. The best option is finding were the leak is an replacing it with new piping. As the other plumber has said there is already heating pipes upstairs in the bathroom so putting 2 rads in the other rooms shouldn't be a problem. When the heating system is re-filled, inhibitor should be added to protect & keep the system clean. Regarding the shower waste pipe I would replace it with a new pipe & not just repair it .hope this answers your questions .
