Brick base shed foundation help ?

Anonymous user 16 March 2024 - 2.49 PM

Hi ! I would like to build a brick base for my future shed, about 3 rows of brick, DPC and then I will build wooden shed on top. The shed is going to be small 5’x7’ and I’m just going to keep our gardening stuff there so nothing heavy. What foundation I need to lay the bricks on for such a shed ? I found some examples which I like but I can’t figure out from the pictures what the guy used as a foundation or footing. How deep should the foundation be ? Thanks

What about 3 strip foundations and build off them or a concrete block base then build off that

I would recommend you pay & get a person with relevant experience ….. a builder, groundworker or construction company to do this job

My advice would be you don’t really need a dpc or dpm as it’s not a habitable space . As long as shed is raised or off the ground level you just need a concrete base . General practice would be 150 mm M.O.T consolidated then 100 mm concrete . Shed would sit on this .
