Damp Proofing

How do you stop mould on walls?

Anonymous user 3 March 2024 - 3.45 PM

Have furniture away from walls and ventilate rooms with windows open every day but still there’s mould. External walls are roughcast.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hello. You should first check the outside walls to make sure that there are no grooves for water to enter the house. After you have made sure that everything is correct, use Damsil.

Hello, you should check the outside to make sure there is no cracks or anything around the window what is mostly the main cause. To get rid of the mould or dampness use watertite Zinser in, and that should be fine

Hi this sounds like it is a penetrating damp issue. This is caused when rain/water finds it way through from the outside wall. You should try and find any cracks or holes on the outside wall.
