Windows & Door fitting

I need some information regarding my new window

Anonymous user 23 February 2024 - 3.51 PM

Hello Just a quick question regarding my new window. I have had a new window put in, it’s fantastic and the person who fitted the window was fantastic too and will be using him again. I made an error by telling the fitter to not fit a vent, so here are my questions; 1) Can a vent be fitted onto my new window? 2) if you are in the midlands or near my residence, can you leave a number and name so I can contact you for a quote? Thank you

Yes a vent can be added. It is a fairly easy job(provided there is no steel in the opener) and any local fottershould be able to do it. I'm not from the Midlands so I can't really advise on price but I generally charge bet £40-£60 so I would expect something similar. Hope this helps

He basically said it all yes they can be fitted, again quite easily providing there's no steel in the frame. You still can when there's steel but as you can imagine it's more than a bit of a pain and once you've made your first drill into it there's no turning back as you can't just leave a hole where you started drilling 👍
