Central Heating Question

Boiler noise reduction

Hi. We have been informed that our neighbours noisy boiler on our brick party wall could be remounted on a board with brackets and this would stop most of the noise and vibration which resonates throughout the whole wall, causing much irritation and sleepless nights for us. Any answers out there before we approach him would be much appreciated.

Hi yes depending on how the boiler is mounted to the wall. All a board do will spread the weight of the boiler and therefore decrease the vibrating sound. Sounds like there is a underlying problem as to why the boiler is so noisy, possibly a lot of air in the system, depends how old the installation is.
