Kitchen sockets in cupboards

can you put sockets for appliances in a fixed board under worktops that is easily accessible as do not any other switchs on walls ?

Yes, provided that the cables are properly fixed to the wall behind the cupboards (idealy run inside trunking) and brought into the cupboards carefully, there is no reason why surface mounted sockets can not be mounted in the cupboards.

It is necessary for them to be easily accessible so that the appliance can be unplugged for maintenance and to turn it off in the event of a faulkt ior fire etc.

Whilst a lot of people prefer the minimalist approach and don't like sockets and fused spurs on display above the worktop, this will always be the best solution.
