I wish to extend a two car garage, 6x6m to a three car garage. Can I use timber build. Then cladding, then harling the cladding? I have seen some very nice examples of harled cladding on the exterior of old houses. This was done by the local council here in Peterhead. Would this be a cheaper build than traditional block build garage? The garage is traditional block built with tile pitched roof.

Extending the garage in timber frame and clading would look beter and would cost more, in concrete blocks its cheaper and solid. Thanks

Extending your garage with a timber frame and cladding may be a similar price to block in total, but a block built garage extension will last a lot longer in the long run.
