Light fitting not eorking

Hi my light was flickering so tried new bulb now the light won’t work at all the electrician can’t get out till next week is it ok to wait if I don’t touch the switch thank you

Has you have changed the light bulb and it is squarely in the bayonet or screwed lamp holder it would suggest a loose connection ether at the light or switch if no other lights are flickering and the switch is turned off, should be OK till next week because it won't be drawing any power to make it worse.

No need to be overly concerned. Just remove the bulb again and leave it out until the electrician arrives.

It would be safe for you to turn the light switch off and remove the light bulb, then wait for the electrician to arrive and investigate.

Shouldn't be anything to worry about. Possibly a loose connection or faulty 'bulb' holder. Just leave switched of and should be fine 👍

Hi. I would remove the bulb and it should be fine with the switch turned off the light will not be drawing any power. As mentioned by others it sounds like a loose cable / connection

Shouldn't be anything to worry about. Possibly a loose connection or faulty 'bulb' holder. The electrician coming to see you should be able to give you an actual explanation when some investigation has been done into the problem.
