linking 2 roofs together

we have had to use slate tiles as we couldn't get the Fibre cement tiles so the roof are different, and there is a joint in the roof between the new and old roof.is there any way of linking them to stop rain linking inside(we don't want to put ridges over the gap,the gap is 15mm wide)

really dont understand why you had problems getting fibre cement tiles as most builders merchants and roofing supply companies will have no dificuilty getting anything you want as long as your prepared to give them a few days notice.or if you used slate tiles the same size it really shouldnt be a problem, what it sounds like is the roof has not been put to-gether properly
