Trickle vents in windows

Had some trickle vents installed on transome windows they were placed on middle bar under opening window is that acceptable.

trickle vents are usually fitted to the head of the frame or to the head of a sash. how tall are your windows? have they been installed lower so that they can be opened and closed with ease? if they have been routed out correctly, they will still circulate the air flow as needed

If they couldn't be fitted to head of frame I would have fitted them in the top of the opening sash. I definitely wouldn't have put on a transom below
