Bricklaying Question

Foundation depth for brick pier

Hi,

Please could you let me know what's the recommendation depth (ie. thickness) of concrete foundation that should be put in for the construction of a 6ft tall brick pier. The pier itself will be 450x450mm - ie. 2 bricks x 2 bricks square.

Many thanks
