How can I firestop the opening within a timber floor

Anonymous user 28 February 2024 - 4.03 PM

I'm working on a project which has an opening within the floor for pipe penetrations, the opening needs to be fire stopped and I've found a lot of firestopping solutions such as filling the void with a rockwool mineral wool batt and then allowing the pipes to penetrate through the mineral wool batt. All the solutions that I've come across seem to have been tested only with solid floors like concrete etc, I haven't found any tested firestopping solution for a timber floor. If anyone has a firestopping solution for a timber floor it would be greatly appreciated. thanks
