Plumbing Question

Water pressure booster

Hi, can any one advise if its good to install water pressure booster for thermostatic shower, I have recently installed thermostatic shower but water pressure seems slow in shower.

Will it be too noisy if I install Booster, please advise pros and cons.

Thanks.

Hi i assume by your question that you dont have a combi boiler.
Thermostatic mixers tend to be dissapointing if a pressure booster is not installed.
Good quality models pumps tend to be a lot quieter than budget models and there are a number of things that can be done to reduce noise levels dependent on building construction, all generally of minor cost.
Hope i have been of some help.
ps If you are running a combi then your may have more fundemental issues.

As you have had this done not very long ago, It would be good to know what the original installer said about the issues you have raised.
Stellar services are right, but the big question is, do you have a combi.
If you do then this changes everything. So you may wish to re-post the question to this Citizens Advice Bureau
