Strange green substance
Strange green substance has appeared on some walls recently
It's in a storage room. These are ply boards fixed onto tanked walls with a plastered ceiling. The room is slightly damp for reasons we are trying to figure out but we think due to a possible leak in the flat roof above.

The tanking maybe breached this would cause water ingress depending on how it’s tanked i.e slurry or membrane or like you say there might be a leak somewhere and water will make its way down

Trying to diagnose damp from pictures or a description is near enough impossible. Try searching for a local damp proofing specialist or a general builder that also undertakes this type of work. They will almost certainly diagnose the problem for you free of charge as part of the quotation process.
