Making good wall chases

Anonymous user 27 December 2020 - 5.02 PM

Hi So basically my guy forgot to put a few cables into the wall prior to patching up the wall with bonding, pva and multi thistle plaster. To rectify the situation I would need to used an sds drill to chase the wall from top to bottom. Feed the cabling in 25mm oval conduit. Then re plaster in prep for painting and decorating. What I wish to know is if doing just the chase part would be enough to make the wall blend in with paint. Or would the entire wall require painting. Bear in mind the paint work was done recently. Any help would be appreciated. Kindest Regards Ali

Hello Ali, Depending on when the painting was done and how old the paint is that you are using, if you use a short pile mini roller it should blend in fine. I find it works better than if you use a brush or say a 9inch roller. Thanks, Ryan

Try as much as possible to sand the walls then paint.
