Garden wall advice

Could anyone tell me if I will need piers in my front garden wall, its going to be 6 metres long on all 3 sides, 4ft tall and single skinned 9" bricks with a gate in the middle. i pressume will need them. Also how deep and wide will I need to dig the footings @300mm I've found clay.Thanks in advance, Ian

Yes you should have pillars supporting the wall every 2.5 metres and at the corners and on the gate walls, the footing should be approx 300 to 400mm deep if you have already struck clay as long as it is solid and 300mm wide for a single skin of blocks, also you should have expansion joints in all walls that are over 5 metres long
