Gas Work Question
Condenser dryer next to gas pipe
I have quite a large under stairs cupboard and want to put my condenser tumble dryer in there. However, this is where my gas meter and pipe is. I know the room will get warm but will this be a danger? Thanks just don't want to blow the flat up.
It is very unlikley to cause a problem with the gas, but over time the condensation may build up. The gas in the pipe is not combustible until it is mixed with air. I would check the driers instruction manual about its requirements for free space and ventilation around the drier itself, certainly I would avoid using it with the cupboard door closed as they still do output moisture laden air even when they are condensing driers.
