Flooring Question

Is the thickness between 14mm and 18mm engineered wood a big difference?

I was told by a wooden shop that as long as the thickness of engineered wood is 14mm with at least 3mm layer of real wood, there is no difference compare with the 18mm thick engineered wood, as you can't tell nor see after they have been laid. She said it's only a waste of money to buy thicker one. Is this correct please?

Yes that's correct, usually the main difference between the two is that a 14mm comes with a 3mm top of real flooring and the 18mm usually comes with between 5-6mm top of real wood flooring meaning that you can sand it down a few more times, and so lasts longer.
