Problem on walls

I have just painted the walls but on a couple of the walls the painted has dried darker. I’ve been told that these walls had been treated from damp or something. I’ve tried painting over with an oil based primer and then going over the top but still same problem.. any ideas on how to get it all the same shade???

Sounds like a trick of the light.

I'd personally start again by lining the walls and then repaint again as it will seal the wall completely. Hopefully that should remedy your problem.

You could touching in effected areas first with some Supermatt, wait till completely dry then 2 coats of what ever paint your using, presumably a vinyl Matt? I would nt put any more stain block on as it's only highlighted the problem area

Yeah it sounds like dampness, I would fill the wall with my hand to see if was damp or felt cold if it did then I would try dry the wall out with a little heater, then coat the darker area with a oil based undercoat not a primer, coat the area 2 coats but give proper drying time, as instructed on tin. Once all dry , coat the whole wall 2 coats of your emulsion paint same again leave time in between coats , if does not work then mite still be bleeding through
