Central Heating Question

Do radiator covers reduce warmth?

I keep seeing radiator covers on TV, etc. If I put them over my radiators do they reduce the efficiency and result in less warmth in the house?

no they only slow the speed of the room reaching its desired room temp on the room stat say! And they may impede the convection action of the rad,but the radiated heat will find its way out anyway! if they're MDF then they may absorb some heat....
