Plumbing Question

I have economy 7 . the hot water heater booster button has stopped working, the normal economy 7 button is working and heating water . does the booster emmersion element needs replaced

Possibly, especially if you live in a hard water area. The lifespan of these elements is normally only about 4 - 5 years. There is a slight chance that the thermostat reset button (if fitted) needs to be reset or it could be a loose connection/faulty switch, but most likely is that the element has gone.

well it's up to ypu ! ! !

If th E 7 element, (night time), element is working, and this provides you with sufficient hot water ?

Then the answer is No !

That was your question ! 'Does the economy seven element need replacing ?'

If you wish to have control over your hot water, I.E., extendended family, guests staying etc. etc.,,

then I would suggest that you have the fault investigated, faulty partt / components replaced as necessary.
