Change of shower rail/head
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.04 PM
Hello, I really like the pressure of my shower and the temperature dial. Am I able to change the rail and shower head without changing the whole shower? It's a mixer shower.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes, although it will be useful for you to know the flow rate of the existing installation to ensure it's enough for whatever shower head you choose.

Yes of course you can, just bare in mind the internal diameter of the new shower hose as the newer ones tend to be much smaller than an older shower hose.

Hi there yes you can change the riser rail kit or whatever set up you have to the mixer.
There universal fittings so you can go to any place that stocks them.
The only exception is if you have a aqualasia mixer they have their own size so you have to buy genuine aqualasia parts, and they are a lot more expensive....

Hello. Sure you can. You say it is a mixer shower so make sure you replace the hose and rose like for like... low pressure which had a larger bore size and shower head with a good size / easy flow. Regards Bob.
