Hi, Do I need permission to change a garage door for a double window.
Thanks,

As the foundation to your existing garage is likely to be traditional, and you do not want to change the use of the garage /store to a habitable space there is no require approval under the Building Regulations for the block work or window installation

If it staying as a garage then no you wouldnt, if it's been used as habitual room then yes you would need permission. Always best just to check with your local council for peace of mind .

If its your house then there should be no need for permission. However if you are turning it into a habitable room then you will need building regs approval for the conversion.

Not if it’s owned by yourself
