Can I fit a 70cm under counter oven?
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.24 PM
I currently have an under counter gas oven that's 60cm high. I want to replace it with a 'small' double gas oven that's 70cm high. From the floor up, there is a: 150mm Plinth 120mm extra plinth under oven 12mm gap 590mm oven 10mm gap 40mm Countertop So the height from the top of the current oven to floor is 870mm. The height from the current oven top to plinth is 720mm. It seems that there is enough total space for a 70cm high oven, but I'm not sure if it can actually be fitted in the space. Does anyone know if it can work? Thanks for you help.

Yes the oven carcass is a standard size and the 120 plinth is a space filler so remove the plinth ant the oven will fit straight in

Hi it will fit in the space but you will have to remove the base out of the current oven housing

The current under oven 'plinth' is actually a blanking panel which you remove when you have the larger 70cm oven. Just remove it and the false shelf your current oven sits on and you new oven will fit straight in. Easy 10 minute job
