Tenament rewire


I am looking for my flat to be rewired it's an old tenanment flat with original cornice and celing rose. How can this be done without damaging the cornicing and ceiling rose?

This can be done if the old wiring was done in conduit ? Or similar and the new cables could be pulled through.
Your best bet is to place the job on here and get someone to come and quote

This can be done by lifting the floor board's above, you will need to speak to your neighbour's in the flat above

Not an easy question to answer without seeing the job. Worst case is that you'll have to have wall lights only and forego ceiling lights if the ceiling void can not be accessed from the floor above. Best option is get an NICEIC registered electrician round to carry out a free site survey quote. Any decent sparky will be only too pleased to offer suggestions and run through the options with you.
