Regrouting a patio

Is it possible to re-grout a patio? The grouting in our existing one has broken down over time.
Does all the existing grout need to be removed first?

Yes it is possible to repoint your patio.
You would have to take out existing point normally with a grinder. Repoint with sand and cement. It’s best to make a few samples to see what matches your slabs best.

Yes this can be done after carefully removing all the old grout and cleaning all the edges and removing any dust with a hand brush and a Hoover pipe

It depends what you refer to as Tile is it stone tile or porcelain? It can be re grouted but I find that you cannot achieve a new look grout by re grouting.
