I need to clear water from a toilet bowl before pouring some OneShot down there - what's the best way to clear the water out?

Use a sponge and a bucket. Best is to leave a little bit of water at the bottom of the bend.

I would generally use a wet vac (if the water is clean).... If not, I would recommend using a plunger to push as much water through as possible, then grabbing a decent pair of gloves and a small cup to scoop up the rest.

As professionals we would use a wet vac generally. But it does depend on what the issue is e.g blockage etc. For the DIY'er some of the above answers would also work.
