Plumbing Question

Boiler noises

I have a Biasi boiler which is about 15 years old. About 3 weeks ago, I got a Drayton wireless digistat fitted. For the last few days there is quite a lot of noise coming from the boiler, not clanging at all, just sort of whistling. However it is all working fine. Should I be worried, or do I need to worry and call someone in or do anything else?

Boilers dont make whistling noises when working correctly.

I think it maybe worth getting it checked out by a Gas Safe Registered engineer.

Be sure to check their card before you let them in through the door.

I would say its the fan thats making a noise....its normally on top of the boiler...a good blast of WD40 should sort it if not try 3in1 in an aerosol can and spray just undernesth in the centre, sorts mine out every year,,,,its basically all the rising heat drying out the fan bearing.
