Central Heating
stopped working

yesterday my central heating stoped working its a vaillant boiler ( about 30 odd years old ) the hot water no longer runs the gas pilot light is still on but when i switch on the heating - nowt !
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Sounds like it could be a pressure problem. Without looking it can't be diagnosed properly.

check programmer first then any 3 way or zone valves,your best bet get boiler engineer in to look at it.

It depends on the boiler/system type,
combi boiler; most likely a flow switch or diverter valve
Conventional/System Boiler; Could be one of a few components ie cylinder stat, programmer or 3port /2port valve.
you would really need a plumber with fault finding experience to investigate and to identify the problem accurately.
