Extensions

Cracking rear wall

Anonymous user 3 March 2024 - 3.19 PM

Hi I'm having new extension all down rear of my house. There is no pillar in middle. Builder has recently removed the metal supports and I've noticed some cracking in rear wall upstairs in 2 bedroom rear walls one a lot more than the other. One bit zigzag it starts at window then join other side of window going down. My builder says it's settlement and not unusual. Should I be worried? and as builder did the work which caused it should they pay to get it fixed or will I have to pay for it myself? Work approved by building control
