I live in a newly converted barn (2013) we have heard a drilling noise coming from the top of the eves only when a certain wind is blowing, a short of drilling noise which is getting louder. We thought it might be the guttering but it's not

It maybe the undertile felt has been left to overhang into the guttering along the eaves, which when the wind blows makes a weird sound - inspect and trim if required....
