option 1 - dont shower
option 2 - install a timed extractor fan
option 3 - open the window all of the time
option 4 - install a switched extractor fan

Why do you not want it to work with the light switch?
A good timed fan can be set so that it runs for just 2 mins after the light is turned off

Alternitivly you can have a manual pull switch..... but you will forget to pull it and hey presto..... DAMP
