Bubbles in ceiling

Anonymous user 23 February 2024 - 3.19 PM

Hello, Over the past few months I’ve noticed some bubbling in the plaster in our living room ceiling. It’s years old and hasn’t been painted recently. It doesn’t look or feel damp but the bedroom radiator is roughly in the same place above it. Any idea what could be causing it? Thank you, Megan

Hi If the pipes for the radiator are under the floorboards I would check this first, to make sure there isn't a slight leak on a joint in the pipework. We have had extreme weather this year regarding the heat and this has affected a lot of buildings with condensation if there isn't sufficient air flow. But I would recommend checking the pipework first.

would check the pipework on & surrounding the radiator for leaks before anything else. good luck Alex
